Boring Headlines Suck (Yes, I Am Aware That This is in Itself, a Boring Headline, and Therefore it Sucks)

I go to the CNN website on occasion to try and keep myself in the loop as far as important world events. However, it's hard to do that when you're easily distracted by headlines such as the following:

Hanna, flamingo stuck in turnstile I read the first paragraph and laughed so hard I have yet to read the rest of the story!

Man dies after 3-day gaming binge Sort of makes you curious.

baggy pant crackdown goes national That's just genius...baggy pants...'crack'down...who thinks of these headlines?

Gator bites off snorkeler's arm Not particularly eye-catching, I just happen to be amused by the word snorkeler. And actually, the story is pretty interesting.

Not surprisingly, these were all listed in the most popular stories. So now all they have to do is come up with more quirky headlines for the really important news and we'll all be better informed!
